Atlantis

Conversation about climate change and future impact led my mind to cities lost, and inspired this piece.

Soft brushes create misty areas of reflection and calm, while pallet knives develop the center scape and primary ring. Secondary rings echo in the background, almost washed away by time.

This painting captivates me, initially calm in nature but with undertones of depth and mystery. When composing the piece I was reflecting on the lessons we refuse to learn, so I feel a calling to change when looking at this painting.

In comparison to other works, texture is reserved. Like a sunken statue, you can almost swim your eyes through the background, circling the center focus.

Original artwork is on gallery-wrapped cotton canvas. Acrylic paint is protected with a varnish coating and artist’s signature is found bottom right.

Packaging receives the utmost care, involving layers of waterproofing, protective padding and reinforcement. This piece was hand-delivered to client.
